1920 x 1200 Spatial Light Modulator

Meadowlark Optics is pleased to introduce our latest 1920 x 1200 Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) options.

with improved specifications over our previous model, it is anything but entry-level. It is, however, economical and ideally suited for educational labs with a limited budget. The new standard “S-Series” offers key features not previously available, including 10-bit operation, customizable dielectric mirror coatings for improved efficiency, and liquid cooling for high-power applications.

What is the Meadowlark 1920 × 1200 Spatial Light Modulator?

The Meadowlark Optics 1920 × 1200 Spatial Light Modulator is a high-resolution reflective liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) device designed for precise phase modulation of light across 1920 × 1200 individually addressable pixels.

What type of modulation does it provide?

It is a phase-only modulator, meaning it controls the optical phase of light without intentionally modulating intensity.

What wavelengths are supported?

Different versions are optimized for visible, near-infrared, shortwave infrared and midwave infrared ranges. Performance is best at the design wavelength.

Can it be used for holography?

Yes. The high resolution makes it ideal for computer-generated holography, beam shaping, and optical trapping.

Can it handle high laser power?

Laser damage threshold depends on wavelength, coating, beam size, and power density. Always verify safe operating limits for your configuration.
